The Scott County Arts Consortium’s second annual November Gallery & Gifts Holiday Market is here! November 1 through December 19, Tuesdays through Sundays, noon to 4 pm, Arts & Cultural Center, 117 North Water St., Georgetown. Come and browse fine art and original gift items by your favorite artists. Forty local and regional artists and artisans are offering framed art, prints, notecards, jewelry, fused glass, stained glass, pottery, ceramics, calligraphy, textiles, wood turnings, baskets, ornaments, Kentucky authored books, and more. Come and see! Stop here before you head for the malls. You may find just what you want for that special someone. This is a marvelous display of local and regional talent, set up beautifully in the renovated historic building. It rivals fine gallery and gift shops you’ll find anywhere. The Gallery & Gifts market offers an opportunity to shop at home, support local artists and artisans, and support the projects of the non-profit Scott County Arts Consortium.
A reception will be held Sunday, November 9, from 12 to 4 pm to meet the artists. Sharon Thompson will be on hand from 2 to 4 to sign her book “Flavors of Kentucky”, now in its second printing. On Thursday evening November 13th Georgia Green Stamper, popular reader on WUKY, and author of “You Can Go Anywhere From The Crossroads” will give a reading at 6:30 pm. You’re all invited!
