Faces of Color – closing reception

“Faces of Color”, Scott County Arts Consortium’s tribute to Black History Month, a celebration of art and culture closes on March 19. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Sunday, March 14 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Arts & Cultural Center, 117 North Water St., Georgetown. The show features woodcarving, painting, drawing, photography, and selected items from the Sisohpromotem gallery in Lexington. In additon you can view rare and beautiful artifacts from Africa. Also on view in the gift shop are pottery by Wyman Rice and Shirley Smith; handcrafted silver jewelry by Silverlark from Nashville; jewelry by Vicky Robinson; scarves by Ann Fister; floral photographs by Bruce Frank; a variety of notecards, photographs, and books including John S. Hockensmith, James Archambeault and other Kentucky authors. A purchase of Hockensmith’s “Spanish Mustangs” includes a coupon for a free print. Don’t miss this exciting show!
