The Scott County Arts Consortium welcomes master gardener Karen Angelucci to the Arts & Cultural Center on July 18, 1:00 to 3:00 PM for a book signing. She will speak at 2:00. A native of Cynthiana, Karen knew early in life that “gardening was her thing”. She says “gardening is such a joy in my life as well as a reflection of my family’s history”. Desiring to share her gardening secrets she penned “Secrets of a Kentucky Gardener” and “Secrets of Tennessee Gardening”. She is a Fayette County Master Gardener. She volunteers for the Arboretum at the University of Kentucky, McConnell Springs, and at the the Mary Todd Lincoln House. She is Horticulture Chair for the Garden Clubs of Kentucky, President of the Lexington Council of Garden Clubs, and President of Soil Mates Garden Club. She also chairs the LFUCG Tree Board. Married and the mother of two children, she nevertheless finds lots of time for her favorite activity. We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of garden tips and refreshments. The Arts & Cultural Center is located at 117 North Water Street, Georgetown. For information call Barbara at 502-863-0909.
