Garth School children come to the Arts & Cultural Center

The Arts & Cultural Center recently welcomed a group of Garth School fifth graders who came on a field trip to see the the Robert L. Williams exhibit. They had a wonderful time, enhanced by the presence of the artist himself. Mr. Williams took time to explain his artwork to them and a great time was had by all. Listen to what some students had to say in their thank you notes: “Thanks so much for giving us a tour of your beautiful art exhibit. I really enjoyed listening to what he had to say. The paintings, drawings and sculpures were really cool”. “It was really nice of you to approve us to come, so thank you. To me it was fascinating to see all the art. Also it was so cool how we got to see the artist, how he told us of each piece.” “I had a great time looking at all the art. I just wanted to take time to tell you thank-you. It was great. I hope to do it again sometime.” “Thanks for the tour at the Arts & Cultural Center. I really liked some of the sculpture. Also the “Stringy Haired Country Girl.”
