36 Stratagems: Closing Reception June 11 5-7 pm

36 Stratagems:  The Complexity of Surviving Troubling Times: closes Friday, June 11th.  This exhibition has featured installation art by Carol Freid and works in clay by Anne Leader.  Their artwork is a response to a year  of personal challenges in which the artistic process has played a pivotal role. The 36 Stratagems originated in China and are part of  the wisdom of the art of war.  The artists have reinterpreted them to apply to strategies they have employed when faced with adversity to promote more positive outcomes.   The closing will include a mini exhibit of “Re-Imaging the Book”, displaying pieces created by gallery visitors who have been invited to interface with Carol’s installation.  Clay pieces will be for sale at the end of the exhibition.  Please join us for refreshments from 5 – 7 pm for this free event as this provocative show closes.
