“Unequivocally Kentucky” Jan Albers and Joseph Kinsey

We are pleased to announce a new show at the Arts & Cultural Center! “Unequivocally Kentucky”, featuring the wonderful infrared photography of Jan Albers and fine graphite drawings by Joseph Kinsey, opens on Sunday, September 13th with a reception from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Many of you may be familiar with the work of these talented artists. Jan is widely traveled gathering images for her art in many regions. Joseph is a retired architect with a great eye and hand for artistic rendering. In this particular show they focus on the beauty of our beloved commonwealth of Kentucky.

The exhibit will run through October 24th. The Arts & Cultural Center is located at 117 North Water Street in Georgetown. Regular gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12:00 to 4:00 pm and by appointment. “Unequivocally Kentucky” will also open on Sunday afternoons. The show is free and open to the public. Daniel Graham and Darrell Kincer at the Arts & Cultural Center

Daniel Graham and Daniel Kincer, art professors from Georgetown College, are featured in the new exhibit at the Arts & Cultural Center, 117 North Water St. in Georgetown. Daniel will exhibit woodcuts and sculpture. Darrell will exhibit photography. Graham received his Master of Fine Arts in printmaking at the Lamar Dodd School of Arts at the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Florida. Kincer was educated in the fine arts at Asbury College and Savannah College of Art & Design. Don’t miss this intriguing show by these very talented and creative artists. Second Annual Floral Fusion Show!

“Floral Fusion – Art & Nature” returns to the Arts & Cultural Center with an all new show! Don’t miss this one! June 14 through August 1. Arts & Cultural Center, 117 North Water St., Georgetown. Exhibiting local and regional painters and ceramicists, as well as floral designers who will interpret the paintings in live flowers and plant material. Opening reception is Sunday, June 14, 2:00 to 5:00 PM, featuring paintings and ceramics. A gala Wine & Cheese reception on July 31, 7:00 to 9:00 PM will feature the floral designs. This is a beautiful and exciting show you’ll surely want to see. Weekly gallery hours are 12:00 to 4:00 PM, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Other activities during the exhibit include Karen Angelucci on July 18, 1:00 to 3:00 PM for a presentation and book signing. She will speak at 2:00. On July 29 at 12:00 o’clock noon John S. Hockensmith will be there for a book signing and program. Bring a brown bag lunch and join the fun.

Stefanie Vallee to demonstrate on June 13!

The Scott County Arts Consortium is proud to present watercolor master, Stefanie Vallee: June 13, 2:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Parish House, corner of Clinton and South Broadway, Georgetown. There is a $10.00 admission fee. Her prints will be for sale. Part of the proceeds go to support the SCAC and Arts & Cultural Center.

Stefanie received her art training under Roland Roycraft who perfected a direct watercolor method of pouring the colors. You can view her website by putting her name into your search engine where you can view her beautiful artwork. Stefanie is also a world class kayaker and world traveler. She is French Canadian and currently resides in China. She will talk a bit about her life as well as her art. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity. She is delightful to talk with, very interesting, and very talented!
