The role of an arts center is to serve as more than just a physical space for activities. The arts and creative expression are a source of emotional sustenance, intellectual development, social and cultural identity and human joy.\r\n\r\nIn creating a home for the arts in an architecturally and historically significant building, the old Scott County Jail, the SCAC accomplishes a part of its mission, that of historic preservation. The mission to educate is fulfilled in a variety of arts and cultural classes currently being held at Cardome in building #3 through its programming branch known as ArtWorks, as well as other community events and activities.","link":"https:\/\/artsandculturalcenter.org\/?author=1","slug":"admin","avatar_urls":{"24":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/4517f7bdf36d34c4babf9d35cee90d6b71575cc05ef71a29437267561fad5432?s=24&d=mm&r=g","48":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/4517f7bdf36d34c4babf9d35cee90d6b71575cc05ef71a29437267561fad5432?s=48&d=mm&r=g","96":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/4517f7bdf36d34c4babf9d35cee90d6b71575cc05ef71a29437267561fad5432?s=96&d=mm&r=g"},"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/artsandculturalcenter.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/artsandculturalcenter.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users"}]}}
